“ We Are Mighty Pirates Forever”.

Ahoy, Matey - Hello, my friend!

Batten down the hatches  - The reunion team is busy!

"There are big ships,

There are small ships;

But there is no ship

like a pirate's friendship."

On July 28, 2018, we are celebrating our 50th class reunion at Crow Canyon Country Club Danville, CA

Your reunion team is working hard on important details to ensure our 50th Reunion Celebration is a success and leaves us with memories to last a life time.  Please note: Kathy Pritchard and I we will no longer plan any further reunions so if you want to see any classmates this may be your last chance. Not only is planning a reunion time consuming, but it also has to do with storage of our materials. My guest room is packed with items and I need the room for my guests who are planning on attending. Therefore local teammates, I could use help with storing some of the decoration boxes I have. Please contact me to let me know if you are willing to store our stuff!!!

If you plan on attending, please submit your payment ASAP as the money is needed to pay our vendors.  Submit checks payable to “Julie Passanisi” mailing address: 32230 Coronation Dr., Union City, CA  94587   Should you have any questions please contact myself or Kathy Pritchard by e-mail or message on Facebook!!!

Important Reasons as to why you need to attend our 50th Reunion:

1. Time is not on our side.

Time doesn’t take sides. Time can be an enemy or a friend. It’s what we make it. It is a window of opportunity. We are each given an unknown allotment of time to be optimized or wasted and every second of every day the allotment diminishes.

Several classmates are not with us because they had run out of time. All of us know that time has changed us hopefully for the better.  We were grateful to use this day to renew friendships and remember the gift of time together we had been given 50 years before.

2. We shouldn’t allow time to erase past relationships.

You might ask, “Why should anyone try to keep in touch with classmates from 50 years ago”. We are longtime friends.

Getting our diploma is not an excuse for not keeping aware of what is happening in their lives. Every relationship we have is a gift to be cherished and with today’s technology there is no excuse for not staying informed. I’m not suggesting that we have to constantly communicate with everyone we meet, but I regret not staying connected.

Had we kept in touch, we could have known of the personal loss some of them suffered. We could have prayed for our friends as they faced challenges and cheered their victories. I can’t do it over but I am committed to keeping track of these wonderful people.

3. Time destroys the artificial social structure of High School. Thank God!

High School was filled with intricate strata of cliques;  jocks, geeks, brains, cowboys, farmers, goody two shoes, quiet people, rowdy people, trouble makers, bookworms, the in crowd.

All of that nonsense dissolves with time. The people at a 50 year reunion aren’t trying to impress anyone. We revel in memories of youth and gloried in sharing the blessings and the difficult times brought our way with having fun reconnecting and reminiscing with old friends.  Our 50 year reunion will be a remarkable, memorable day!

* Our reunions give us a chance to reconnect, catch up and enjoy a few hours of going BACK IN TIME!

We look forward to seeing you there. Remember

A beautiful event, with location and all the ideas that we are planning to implement. It doesn’t seem like 50 years ago  graduating high school after 12 year of schooling and being with so many of the same friends

Our reunion team include:   Kathleen Pritchard Williams, Julie Ferrieria Passanisi, Tina Radonich Craver, Julie Hernandez Kraintz, Barbara Jensen Millert, Kathie Colville Pita, Jeanne Sayles Wagner and Sheila Cunha.

Mark your calendars!

Kathy Pritchard Williams and Julie Ferriera Passanisi
